Christmas Photo Shoot

This weekend our little family got to do a newborn photo shoot with my cousin's wife's (Tylor and Bethany) step mom, Ilona. She offered to do a shoot as a thank you for doing her hair for their wedding earlier this fall. It was such a thoughtful way to thank me. We had a lot of fun taking the first few photos when Miles was asleep, but then he woke up and wasn't too pleased with the flashes and being cold because we took his clothes off for some naked baby pictures.

Ilona was great and very patient with his fussiness. We'll try again at 3 months when Miles is a bit older and calmer. We got some pictures with both Christmas outfits that he recieved from his grandmas but unfortunately he was crying in all the pictures with his outfit from Grandma Rhonda :( So, we'll get some better ones at Christmas. Hopefully by then he'll be more cooperative. Lesson learned: newborn photo shoots are difficult unless baby is a good sleeper or in a happy awake time. Also, almost all "newborn" photos are of 3 months old babies. Now I understand why.
