Weekend

My parents came down for the weekend and we had a wonderful time relaxing, going to church and dinner on Saturday night, and more relaxing on Sunday. The weather wasn't very nice, (it was snowing and very cold) so we just hunkered down inside and played with Miles.

3 Months Old

Wow, I can't believe how a month just flies by! Miles is 3 months old now and he never ceases to show me something new he has learned. I love it! He's about 18 pounds and 25 inches long. He's fitting into 6 month clothes!

Through My Eyes

I just can't get enough of Miles! I want to capture every single thing he does throughout the day because it's so cute. He probably gets about a million kisses and hears "I love you so much" and "you're so cute Miles" about a millions times a day too. Here's a little look through my eyes over the past week:

His big smiles gets me everytime!

Watching sports with Dad

Sleeping while I talk to Grandma Di on the phone

Someone found their tongue this week :.P

umm... lazy eye + tongue= frog?

And a cute video: I call this Miles' milk coma

Also, my sister-in-law Cheri told me about a cute website, called While the Baby Sleeps. It's so creative. It makes me want to try this with Miles. Check it out!

Cupid

Miles was our little Cupid for St. Valentine's Day. His gift to us was an 11 1/2 hr night of sleep and then another 3 hour nap during dinnertime so Patrick and I were able to enjoy our dinner together and talk for 2 hours. Miles must really love us!! Patrick arrived with flowers to a dinner I had ready and waiting. I made us a candlelight dinner consisting of pork tenderloin, asparagus, homemade biscuits, a caprice salad, red wine, and individual blueberry-peach crisp. It was better than any restaurant we could have gone to. What a great Valentine's Day!

I'm sure Miles won't be too happy about this when he's older :)

Our Catholic Family

Miles was Baptized on February 6th, 2011. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with supportive family and friends. It was very powerful being a parent and witnessing the beauty of this sacrament for our own child. I now fully understand the significance of Baptism and am so happy that Miles got to receive it. He slept through the entire thing! Miles is now a member of the Catholic Church and Patrick and I will do our best, with God's help and guidance, to teach Miles to love and know God. A special thank you to my parents for putting on such a wonderful Baptismal party afterward. We had a fantastic time chatting and enjoying watching the Packers win the Super Bowl. Patrick was totally on cloud nine.

Naked Baby!

It has been a tradition in our family to show our babies' growth through their first year by taking naked baby pictures once a month (usually on the day of the month they were born) on the changing table. I think my mom started this tradition, my sister-in-law, Cheri, continued it, and now I'm happily joining in too! I missed Miles' one month picture but was able to get one on his second month birthday!

Isn't it the life?

The life of a baby is so great! A day full of eating, sleeping, and people giving you attention at every whimper, smile, or coo.

Getting ready for our first walk outside... not too excited about it

He only lasted for about 8 minutes. I think it was because he was too hot. Go figure.

LOVE those cheeks!
